Lush Green - Welcome to Shimla Himachal Pradesh India

A bike trip from New Delhi to Shimla. We enjoyed the day ride in isolated valley from Rampur town to Shimla. This valley welcomes visitors to Shimla town and we entered via Mashobara Village of Shimla. Riding in cold weather in the middle of oak trees and beautiful houses around the road provoke riders to accelerate bikes.

Sunset at Chail, Himachal Pradesh India

We rode from Gurgaon (Delhi) early morning on bikes to 400 KM away Chail Valley near Shimla. It took us almost 7 hours to reach there. The ride was blend of extremely wide highways (Delhi to Chandigarh) and terrains of Himachal in lush green valley in Solan and Chail. Entry into Chail was like breaking a wall of real world and enter into a virtual world with beauty all around and silence. Evening lazy time with Sunset worked as soothing effect.

Road to World's highest motorable pass - Khardungla Pass Leh (18,380 feet)

Its normal to cross snow capped peaks and roads cutting layer of ten feet thick snow if you wish to reach the world's highest motorable pass. An uphill drive from Leh town of around 60 KM lies World's highest motorable pass. Its heaven for bikers and I enjoyed the charm of being in heaven. Water crossing, landsliding prone area, road without roads and unfriendly winds makes this drive different from kid's play.

Low Oxygen levels not only affect your breathing but also bike pick up power to large extent and drizzling makes it really unbearable pain and challenge the mental strength every time gear is changed to 1.

Pangong Lake - Leh

I rode from Leh town to Pangong lake, along with a pillion rider on Pulsar 150 CC bike, crossed knee deep water, roads in the middle of snow, thrilling terrains, steep downhill ride, snow capped peaks, winds in a sunny day, world's third highest motorable pass - Changla, that is all I did to reach this beautiful place.

This spectacular heaven is 175 KM away from Leh town on Indo China Border. The lake is 134 KM long, only 1/3rd of it is in India and balance falls in China. A must visit place.

Waterfall with Rainbow, Shimla Himachal Pradesh, India

We were riding back from Rampur to Shimla on an isolated road and it was almost no man land. We were bored with repetitive terrains and leaning bikes left right.  This spot broke our routine and forced us to stop here. We were really surprised to see this astonishing Rainbow formed with Water and Sun rays.
